Noah is 5 Months

So as you can see, I've been really busy.  Noah is now 5 months old, and getting big fast.  He "talks" constantly, smiles & laughs all the time.  People joke that once he does start talking we won't be able to get him to stop.  He truly is the happiest baby I know.  At his last doctors visit he weighted 14.5lbs and measured 25 1/4 inches.  So he's just a growing.

He roles over now both from back to belly, and belly to back.  Supports himself on his arms, and pulls his feet under his belly.  It won't be long before he is crawling and on the move.
I've started introducing baby food into his diet.  At first he loved the cereal and bananas, and now he doesn't want any of it.  He makes faces, coughs and spits it out.  We've learned that he's got Daddy's gage reflex haha.  We'll give him a couple of weeks and try it again.

He starts daycare on Tuesday and I'm super excited.  He's been on the waiting list since I was 6 months pregnant with him, so he's been waiting for a while.  LOL  the "teachers" he will be with are very nice, and the facility is big and clean.  I hope it works out.

I graduated in July and 3 days before graduation I found a job.  I wasn't expecting to find one so soon, but very glad that it worked out the way it did.  I'm liking it so far.  The only down fall is that I don't get to see Noah much, so as soon as I get home scrubbed, and changed I grab him up from whomever has him.

So I will try my best to keep things up to date.

Noah is 3 Months

Noah is 3 months & growing like a weed.  It baffles me how much he has changed since we brought him home.  He has found his hands & feet within the last couple of weeks & stares at the forever.  He just recently started grabbing things that are near him & bring whatever it may be to his mouth.  Drool has gone into overdrive.  If I didn't know any better I could have sworn the boy was teething.  He has 2 bumps where his lower central incisors will come in, but I'm sure it will be a few more months before they show themselves.  He is VERY observant and about every 10-15mins we have to change "stations" with him.  Our living room is set up with his swing, chair, play-mat, entertainment gym, and his jumper-rew.  By the time we hit 4 of them he's ready for a nap and we start were we left off.  He absolutely loves to "talk."  He'll pretty much talk to anything or anyone that is near by or willing to listen.  We try to video chat with everyone back home as much as possible.  The other night we talked with Cayla & he just yak'd her ear off.  Tonight we talked to Mom, and he wasn't into it until just before we got off with her.

He is a sleeping machine.  He'll go to bed anywhere between 8:30-10 and will sleep until about 6 or so, eats and goes right back to sleep for another 3 hours.  He wakes up every once in a while during the night looking for his pacifier, but once he has it back he goes right back to sleep.  He definitely gets his sleeping from me.

We have his 4-month check up on August 1st.  We'll get to find out how much he has gained & grown.  I'm so excited.  I will post again after this visit.  Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July.

Noah is 2 Months Old

So life has been pretty crazy these last few weeks.  Noah had his 2 month old check up last week and he has finally breached 10lbs, and is now 21 & 1/2 inches long.  My little man is growing up so fast :(  I have so many pics but haven't had the time to upload or print them out.

I graduate school in a month, so I've been pretty busy trying to juggle Noah, my externship, and now homework.  I have 3 weeks to go before the quarter is up, so I'm in the home stretch, but also why I haven't been able to update on here.

I will post pics of little man soon.  It is amazing how much he has changed in the last 2 months.

Noah 2 Week Old Photos

Noah is now 3 weeks old & it is amazing how much he has changed!  He now is a splitting image of Nick, I see myself in him with certain facial expressions, but he is definitely a daddy's boy.  At his last appointment he weighed 8lbs 3oz.  As of right now his Doctor is not worried about his weight gain.  He wants to give him another month & see where he's at before making any changes to his diet.

At 2 weeks old, we had our friend stop by and do pictures.  It ended up being a very stressful ordeal for Noah.  He didn't like it one bit because he was mostly naked.  We cut the shoot short, and ended up with less pics then what we paid for, but are very pleased with them.

All-in-all everything is going well.  He has made this new parent process very easy for us. Nick started back to work about a week ago, and I go back to school the 1st week of May.  It should be very interesting to see how I do with being away from him for 8hrs.

I hope you all enjoy the pictures!

Noah is Finally here!

So Noah has finally arrived!  He was born March 31st at 11:11pm via c-section after 23hrs of labor. He weighed 8lbs 6oz, and measured 20 1/4 inches. Nick & I have been on cloud nine since his arrival.  We were in the hospital for 2 & 1/2 days due to needing antibiotics to fight off a potential infection because I had a fever during the labor & he had one after being delivered.

We are now home and getting use to our new lives (all 3 of us).  Noah is finally getting the hang of breast feeding, something I had been stressing about before I left the hospital.  He tends to be an early night baby.  By 2 or 3 in the morning he is ready for bed, and has been sleeping until 5:30 or 6:30, but its only been 2 nights since he's been home, so this is for sure to change.  He is a very good baby, and only cries when he is changed.  With the help of Mom & Nick we are making it through our first week home.  We are just so happy to finally to have him home, enjoy the pictures!    I will post as often as I can on our progress & post more pictures.
This was taken in the Nursery after his testing & blood work.

With Momma, it was so sad to see him with this IV attachment in him

He loves to sleep & ALWAYS has his hands up on or by his face

Finally home, but upset because I woke him up for a feeding

Baby Shower & 38 Week Update

We had our baby shower last week.  It was so much fun, and everyone had a blast.  We got a lot of things off our registry and a few things we didn't even think about. Below are just a few pictures of the event.  I wish I could post all of them, but there were too many, but you can see the full album on my Facebook page.
This Wreath was made for us to hang on the door when Noah arrives

At 38 weeks pregnant this week, we are both ready to meet our little guy.  Weds we have our 39 week appt and we will find out if I'm dilated any, and if theywill induce me by my due date.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  Mom is coming to visit April 1st, so it would be nice for him to be here by then so she can spend some time with her grandson, and she's really looking forward to helping (her grandma time)  Below is a picture of me at 38 weeks.  Its the first time actually showing off the belly & probably the last haha, as you can see it is growing nicely!

37 Week Update

Today we had our 37 week update, even though I'm 36 weeks & 4 days, but its close enough.  We got to have a sonogram just to see how Noah is doing and to get an estimation of how much he weighs right now.  At the moment they estimate him at 6.9lbs.  This visit was a little confusing to us because the sonogram technician and the doc (the one we got rotated in to see, not the one we want to deliver) were saying two different things on some of the information.  The sonogram technician told us that Noah is measuring just over a week ahead of schedule with the belly being the biggest part of him, whereas the doctor says I'm measuring right on time, so Noah is on time, and that his head is the biggest part of him....So yes a little confused, but all-in-all Noah is doing great, and looks healthy with all organs looking & functioning like they should.

Next week we have our 38 week appointment with the Doctor we hope will deliver him.  He's a very popular doctor & therefore very busy, and very hard to get a hold of.  We are hoping to find out if he can induce me either a week early or a couple of days early so that he can be the one to deliver Noah.  Keeping our fingers crossed.

Other than that, I'm still stretching.  I didn't think I could stretch as much as I have, but apparently I was wrong haha.  I'm getting to the point where I'm getting very uncomfortable.  I look forward to warm days because that means flip-flops instead of wrestling for 5mins trying to get my shoes on (school days are the worst!)  Sleeping is becoming impossible;  I'm waking up more and staying awake longer, but I'm managing.

This weekend is our baby shower!  I'll be sure to post pictures up for everyone to see, until then have a good one!
