Noah is Finally here!

So Noah has finally arrived!  He was born March 31st at 11:11pm via c-section after 23hrs of labor. He weighed 8lbs 6oz, and measured 20 1/4 inches. Nick & I have been on cloud nine since his arrival.  We were in the hospital for 2 & 1/2 days due to needing antibiotics to fight off a potential infection because I had a fever during the labor & he had one after being delivered.

We are now home and getting use to our new lives (all 3 of us).  Noah is finally getting the hang of breast feeding, something I had been stressing about before I left the hospital.  He tends to be an early night baby.  By 2 or 3 in the morning he is ready for bed, and has been sleeping until 5:30 or 6:30, but its only been 2 nights since he's been home, so this is for sure to change.  He is a very good baby, and only cries when he is changed.  With the help of Mom & Nick we are making it through our first week home.  We are just so happy to finally to have him home, enjoy the pictures!    I will post as often as I can on our progress & post more pictures.
This was taken in the Nursery after his testing & blood work.

With Momma, it was so sad to see him with this IV attachment in him

He loves to sleep & ALWAYS has his hands up on or by his face

Finally home, but upset because I woke him up for a feeding

  1. Congrats Renee. Noah is handsome :) I'm not a medical doctor, but I was told by the doctors to wake up Bree every 2 hours to feed and in hindsight that is totally B.S. Unless there is a medical reason, my opinion and many other mothers opinion is not to forcefully wake the baby for feedings. Babies are not stupid, they'll let you know when they are hungry or need to be changed. Waking up Bree every 2 hours caused a lot of issues later with her natural sleeping and eating patterns. Just my 2 cents. The first week Bree slept long hours, but after that she automatically set her own schedule and woke up more frequently on her own to feed.

  2. Yea they told us the same thing (Every 2-3hrs during the day, 3-4hrs during the evening). He's been doing good, finally getting the hang of breast feeding, but he seems to get too comfortable when latched on & falls asleep, then is hungry again about 30mins later.

We are still figuring things out, but we are doing good.
